Prince Rupert & District Métis Society
The Prince Rupert & District Métis Society (PRDMS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the culture, rights, and well-being of Métis people in our region. We are a proud and resilient community with deep roots, a vibrant culture, and a vision for a strong, connected future.
We respectfully acknowledge that we live, work, and gather on the traditional and unceded territories of the Ts’msyen Peoples. We are grateful to be part of this shared land and are committed to walking forward in a good way—honouring Indigenous ways of knowing, being, and relating.
Our Society exists to uplift the voices and experiences of Métis people while fostering unity, education, and cultural pride. Through community events, cultural programs, and knowledge-sharing opportunities, we aim to inspire our members to embrace their heritage and share it with future generations.
We are a diverse and inclusive group, welcoming all walks of life. Whether you are rediscovering your roots, seeking connection, or simply wanting to learn more about Métis culture and history, you are welcome here.
Together, we celebrate who we are and all that we can become.
